Catfish ponds in Arkansas - Ponds vary in size from a few acres to forty acres and are stocked with 1000 to 1600 fingerling catfish per acre. Catfish are fed a special diet for a year or more until reaching the popular market size of 1 to 1 1/2 pounds.
