Philippine Coast and Geodetic Survey vessel COWIE (U.S. Army Crash Boat C-456) . This vessel was named for United States Coast and Geodetic Survey Commander George D. Cowie who was killed in a Christmas Eve bombing raid of Manila in 1941. On drydock at Engineer Island.
