Buoy anchored off Cape Hatteras in 1700 fathoms of water with 2800 fathoms total
chain. The Gulf Stream is running 4 to 4 1/2 knots pulling the buoy
nearly under. The buoy is actually comprised of two spherical sections, one
over the other although both are out of sight with only the top showing.
