Tidal Current at Flood from observations by Lieut. J.N. Maffitt. This is a
fairly sophisticated attempt at showing the nature of tidal flow. John Maffitt
among the most knowledgeable and successful of Coast Survey hydrographers. He
became a very successful Confederate blockade runners and commerce raider.
