NOAA Photo Library Image - cgs05223

Chart of "Half Moon Bay, California." From a Trigonometrical Survey. This chart shows that even though the main activities of the Coast Survey were associated with the Civil War effort, a small amount of work was still being conducted on the West Coast. The triangulation, topography, and hydrography were all conducted by Augustus Rodgers, a brother of RADM John Rodgers, USN.
