A derelict gill net continues to 'ghost fish' at Farnsworth Bank, near Santa
Catalina Island in southern California. In this case, a shark has recently
become entangled in the net and died. This photo was taken by the
Southwest Fisheries Science Center's remotely operated vehicle (ROV) at
approximately 50m.
