Looking into Windy Pass Valley along the Dempster Highway. This valley has
been unglaciated for the last 100,000 years and pollen analysis indicates that
the indigenous composition of plants has remained constant during this period.
Hence, this flora is what early human emigrants encountered when
migrating to North America.
