The famous A.C. Veatch and Paul Smith map of the Mid-Atlantic continental slope
which attracted great attention from the scientific world as it showed the
results of precision radio acoustic ranging navigation and acoustic sounding.
With the exception of Hudson Canyon, none of the other canyons were known at the
time of publication of this map.
