North Inlet - Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
This osprey reigns over its nest in a dead cypress tree along the shores of
Winyah Bay, near Georgetown. Most osprey overwinter in tropical areas
and return to temperate nesting locations in late winter.
