Greetings from NOAA's National Weather Service office in Lincoln, Illinois! We
have been serving a population of approximately 1.6 million people across
central and southeast Illinois for the last 12 years. The WFO contributed to the
local balloon festival by launching its routine evening balloon and radiosonde
which was cheered on by family members and spectators along a nearby highway.
