NOAA celebrated June 8th as "World Ocean Day" and California's first "Thank You
Ocean Day" by bringing 1,200 4th and 5th graders to Dockweiler Beach. Many of
these students had never seen the ocean despite living only a few miles away and
were in awe of the sights and sounds of their day at the beach. Here the kids
express their feelings about the ocean.
