An overview of the marsh and the culvert that restricts water from flowing from Quivett Creek into the marsh. The preferred restoration choice was to create an open channel between the two sections of marsh but the homes in the foreground would have been impacted. Instead the culverts were enlarged. Part of the project includes raising the abandoned roadway surface to provide flood control
