Profiles of the Aleutian Trench compiled by Harold W. Murray of the Coast and
Geodetic Survey and published in the "Bulletin of the Geological Society of
America," Vol. 56, p. 771. Soundings for making these profiles were acquired
between 1925 and 1939 by following systematic tracklines from the U. S. West
Coast to the Aleutians for hydrographic surveying operations.
