Northern Atlantic Ocean. The profile below is from the Joseph Dayman survey of
1857 and was still the best profile of the North Atlantic Ocean between Ireland
and Newfoundland then in existence. The deep water arm extending across the
center of the page, is a first indication of the Charlie Gibbs Fracture Zone,
