This type of bottle was used in 1959 for measuring organic productivity in the
Mediterranean Sea in the vicinity of Monaco on board the
WINNARETTA-SINGER in the vicinity of Monaco in 1959. This bottle was designed
for in situ measurement of phytoplankton by the Carbon-14 method.
