Northern and southern hemisphere composite views obtained from NOAA-6 infrared
sensor. Hurricane Allen is in the Gulf of Mexico poised to strike the
Brownsville area. At the time of this image, Allen had a central pressure of
approximately 909 mb and crossed the Texas coast with top wind speeds of
129mph.
