An Angstrom pyranometer, used to measure albebo. Albedo is the ratio of the
amount of electromagnetic radiation reflected by a body to the amount incident
upon it, commonly expressed as a percentage. Ice has a very high albedo while
dark surfaces have low albedo. The measuring element is to the left. In:
