
Lt. Elizabeth Crapo in Antarctic.
LT Elizabeth Crapo transferred into the NOAA Corps from the Navy in 2006 and served a tour on NOAA Ship RONALD H. BROWN. Prior Navy assignments include a tour onboard USS RUSSELL (DDG 59) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and several public affairs positions such as Navy Broadcasting Service Detachment Diego Garcia, Commander U.S. Naval Forces Marianas (Guam), Naval Media Center Washington, D.C. and Chief of Naval Operations Public Affairs. She holds a BS in Atmospheric Science form the University of Arizona. She is an avid traveler whose favorite destinations include Italy, Antarctica, and many tropical Pacific islands.
She is currently the Science and Outreach Coordinator for the NMFS Southwest Region.
